Up here in the north, we all have our own ways of coping with winter storms. Some of us take the snow full on by strapping on snow shoes or building epic snow forts. Some take the indoor opportunities to hone in our baking or scrabble skills. But here in the studio, we like to scroll through our client’s wedding photos from last summer and swoon over sunny skies, blooming flowers, and warm memories. Sure, it’s a little like torturing ourselves at times, but with photo’s from a wedding like Lauren & Johns can you blame us?
With a soft color palette touched with blushes, creams, and gorgeous navy accents, everything, and we mean everything, about this wedding beamed with romance. We were especially head over heels for the main invitation that was included in Lauren’s custom wedding suite. With navy blue letterpress that featured hand calligraphed wording, it was a sophisticated statement piece, both timeless and one of a kind.
Along with the letterpessed invitation, the suite also included other unique touches such as a beautiful ombre silk ribbon tie with a custom wax seal, and custom watercolor floral illustrations sweeping throughout the response and festivities inserts.
The day-of pieces that we worked on featured both custom watercolor florals that corresponded with the suite, along with a custom watercolor map for the welcome booklet. Other day-of pieces included custom menus, wedding programs, table numbers, escort cards, bar menus, and welcome party stationery.
Remember when we said that everything about this wedding was romantic? Well It doesn’t get much more elegantly romantic than this vintage mirror escort sign, which was by far one of the most awe-worthy day-of pieces that we’ve been able to collaborate on. Each guest’s printed name and table number were affixed to the mirror with custom gold wax seals, with hand painted lettering at the top of the mirror. Swwwwwooooooooooooonnnnnn.
As long as we have photos like Lauren and David’s to admire, I think we’ll get through this winter just fine. ;)
